We love it at the Vientiane International School! Even though it is mostly administrative work, all the teachers are happy with us around (they don't have to do their inventory themselves now). Also they keep asking whether we are really doing this voluntary and really aren't getting paid for what we do. Not only the teachers are nice, we also made some contact with the scholars! Today we finally finished the stock-taking of the english department (I've seen enough English literature for the rest of my life I tell you!) and after lunch we saw the Secondary Assemble.
The Assemble means that all the secondary classes are there (grade 6 and higher). It basically is a summary of all they did the past weeks and they did some perfomances, it was really awesome and we want something at our school now (hint, hint, Mr. Van Loo), works for team building as well!
So we had a good day at the school and we even arranged a trip to the sister-school for tomorrow, the sister-school is a Lao school, so we're really excited to see how that is.
Ciao!

Bas Van Engelen:
Laura,
Nico to read that you do valuable work. The work-experience could come in handy.
I wonder how it will look, with you on stage at "Albatros Assemble"! Please do pick up the hint, Mr. van Loo!
Keep enjoying your stay there!
